Tomorrow · Jordan
Jordan's Economic Modernisation Vision, launched in 2022, is a ten-year plan to unlock the kingdom's potential, with a million new jobs and tourism as a leading growth engine. For travelers that means better hotels and access to Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea; for investors, a clearer path into one of the region's most stable markets.

Vision in brief
Launched in June 2022 under royal patronage after a national workshop with hundreds of experts, the Economic Modernisation Vision runs to 2033. Its two goals are accelerated growth and a better quality of life. It sets out eight growth drivers, among them high-value industries, future services, destination Jordan, smart and sustainable resources, and an investment-friendly environment.
Spelled 'modernisation' in its official British-English title, the plan is delivered through executive programs and public-sector modernization. See the national visions of the Middle East for the region.

Official site ↗Jordan packs extraordinary variety into a small, welcoming country: Petra, the desert of Wadi Rum, floating in the Dead Sea and diving in Aqaba. The vision supports new hotels, better roads and fresh experiences, from wellness retreats at the Dead Sea to adventure trails such as the Jordan Trail, which runs the length of the country. Faith travelers come for the Baptism Site at Bethany Beyond the Jordan and Mount Nebo. American visitors can obtain a visa on arrival or use the Jordan Pass, which bundles the visa fee with entry to Petra and many other sites. Jordan offers investor residency and citizenship routes tied to deposits, property or business investment, and special economic zones in Aqaba and elsewhere. Amman has a growing technology sector, with many regional startups founded there, and Jordan has free-trade agreements with the United States and the European Union that make it attractive for exporters.
