What Qiddiya is

Qiddiya is built on the dramatic Tuwaiq escarpment southwest of Riyadh, and it is planned as a full city devoted to play: theme parks, motorsport, sports arenas, gaming and esports, performing arts and homes for residents. It is one of the core projects of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to give Saudi families world-class entertainment close to home.

Qiddiya has said it intends to open something new on a regular cycle, so the destination will keep growing year by year.

A day at Six Flags or Aquarabia fits easily into a Riyadh stay; most visitors drive or take a chauffeur from the city's luxury hotels. During its opening period Aquarabia has run from noon to 8 pm, with Fridays reserved for women; check current hours before you go. Compare the region's best parks in theme parks and entertainment and plan around family travel in the Middle East.

For investors

Like Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, Qiddiya is designed as a place to live as well as visit, with residential neighborhoods planned around the parks, golf and sports venues. Entertainment anchors tend to lift demand nearby; see investing in property near new landmarks and our Saudi Arabia Luxury Real Estate investment guide.
