This privacy policy explains, in plain English, what TheMiddleEast.com collects when you visit, how cookies are used, and the choices and rights you have.
Short version
We collect as little as possible. You can read the whole site without giving us any personal information. We never sell your data.
We may use an analytics service, such as Google Analytics, to learn which pages help travelers most. Analytics cookies are set only after you agree through the cookie notice; until then, no analytics cookies are stored on your device. If you choose No thanks, no analytics cookies are set. Analytics tells us things like which pages are read and roughly which country visitors come from; we do not use it to identify you.
We store your cookie choice in your own browser so we do not ask again. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings, and the notice will return.
Our forms (contact, partner inquiries, Luxury Real Estate interest and the Season Letter) do not send anything to this website. When you press send, the form opens your own email app with a message addressed to inquire@TheMiddleEast.com (or, for partner inquiries and Founding Partner applications, advertise@TheMiddleEast.com), and you choose whether to send it. If you do, we receive your email like any other, and we use it only to reply, to point you to the firms you asked about, or to send the Season Letter you signed up for. We keep it only as long as needed for that purpose.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share your details with a third party, such as a real estate agency, only when you have asked us to pass on your request. Links to other websites, including hotels and airlines, are governed by those sites' own privacy policies.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. Under the GDPR in the European Union and the UK, and under the privacy laws of several US states such as California, these can include the right to know what we hold, to have it corrected or deleted, to withdraw consent and to opt out of any sale or sharing (we do not sell). To make any request, or to unsubscribe from the Season Letter, write to inquire@TheMiddleEast.com. We will respond promptly and will not treat you differently for using your rights.
