Built for families
The Gulf has learned to build parks for its climate: vast air-conditioned halls where children can ride in July, and outdoor parks that come alive in the mild winter. Yas Island is the region's capital of fun, with Ferrari World, Warner Bros. World, Yas Waterworld and SeaWorld side by side and a cluster of good hotels connected by free shuttles.
Saudi Arabia has joined in at scale. Six Flags Qiddiya City opened on December 31, 2025, with Falcon's Flight, billed as the world's fastest, tallest and longest roller coaster, and the Aquarabia water park followed on April 23, 2026. Read more on our Qiddiya page and in family travel.
